The Clairefontaine Canvas is made from 100% Polycotton material. The canvas is 200gsm and comes in a pad which is A3 in size. The canvas comes within a pad which is glued at the top. The canvas sheets are easily removable when required. The canvas has a soft and flexible surface that sketches and lays back easily depending on humidity. The canvas has a double universal coating to bring a better sharpness to the pad. The canvas requires fixing before painting to protect the pictorial layer. The canvas must be tightened before painting to stiffen.

The canvas is suitable for use with Oil and Acrylic Paint. The canvas has a grain texture.
