Pastelmat is an innovation on the dry paper market. The properties of the paper allow for the imposition of several layers of color without the effect of oversaturation, and for a significant reduction of the dust generated during work. It is not necessary to use a fixative. Thanks to the delicate surface of the paper, rubbing colors is much easier. Pastelmat is a thick acid-free paper with fine cellulose fibres. Very durable, retains all its properties, even when it gets wet or is intensively wiped with an eraser. The pages in the block are separated from each other by sheets of transparent paper. The surface of Pastelmat paper resembles fine-grained sandpaper and is the best substrate for dry pastels, charcoal, sepia, sanguine, sketch crayons, etc. Works made on pastelmat paper can be protected using Pastel Revolution Freezer medium spray.
